Anthony Scase, a Yard Operative from Stanton, has worked with MGF for over 4 years. He has Braved the Shave and managed to raise an impressive £170 for My WiSH, a local charity.
My WiSH works to support the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, which includes West Suffolk Hospital and the Newmarket Community Hospital. They support the trust by raising extra funds for the services provided, this enables their hard-working staff to go the extra mile in the care of their patients and make sure that they get the treatment and support they deserve.
Anthony is a very sociable person and decided to shave his head along with some others from his local social club, Anthony had the full support of his colleagues at Stanton. He was motivated to do this as My WiSH is a special cause in his local area who he wanted to raise a good amount of money for. His success in this charitable activity, raising £170, has motivated him and other members of the Stanton depot to potentially take part in more similar fundraisers.
MGF Stanton also support My WiSH on a larger scale as they have been selected as the chosen charity for the Black Box scheme in the team’s area. Each depot has two trench boxes painted black with the charity’s logo on to make them clearly recognisable and stand out from our kit on site.
