MGF Support Key Client and Win Charity Tournament

MGF’s Design Engineering Team and North East Depot recently collaborated to support a charity fun day, and key client, by competing in an ‘Its A Knockout’ tournament.

The family fun day and ‘Its a Knockout’ tournament were held in aid of Hartlepool and District Hospice in partnership with Hartlepool RFC and sponsored by Seymour Civil Engineering. This was the fourth annual family fun day hosted by the charity and built on their success of previous years.

MGF entered a team of 10 into the tournament – combining Design Engineers from our Engineering Centre in Greater Manchester with members of the Sales Team from the MGF North East Depot. The highlight of the day came when the ‘MGF Titans’ won first place in the ‘Its a Knockout’ tournament, taking home the prize trophy.

MGF’s North East Regional Director, Kevin Clarke said “We were more than pleased to be invited to take part in the Hartlepool and District Hospice fun day and Its a Knockout competition. Not only did we support an incredible cause, and key client, but the event also gave us an opportunity to collaborate between the North East Depot and our Design Team in Manchester. The team displayed a superb attitude and sporting spirit, which demonstrates the MGF company ethos, and for them to take the 1st place and win the competition is simply the icing on the cake.”

Hartlepool & District Hospice exists to ensure people affected by life limiting illness have the care, comfort and support they need. As the only adult Hospice in the Hartlepool and East Durham areas of the UK, their unique range of services make a vital difference to the lives of thousands of families each year.
