Rob took on the 26.2 mile challenge in October 2022, finishing overall position of 909th.
The 2022 London Marathon was the 42nd running of the annual event, Rob was 1 of over 40,000 runners to participate in the event and had been training as part of the running club, Penny Lane Striders which all paid off when Rob completed the marathon in 2 hours and 50 minutes. This was at the end of an intensive 11-week training programme, averaging 35 miles per week over 4 sessions. Rob qualified for London on a Good for Age entry following a marathon performance in the previous 12 months qualification period.

He is no stranger to taking on challenges after completing a 24-hour run in 2021.
With the London Marathon under his belt, Rob has set his sights on the Berlin Marathon in 2023. With his dedication and hard work no doubt Rob will gain a new personal best when he takes on this next challenge.
