Providing Excavation Support for HS2

MGF is pleased to announce our depots are HS2 ready after major investments in fleet availability and stock. Operational support will be provided primarily from locations at Tring, Hertfordshire and Rugeley, Staffordshire and supported by our national network of depots across the UK.

We have a dedicated Rail/ HS2 team offering their assistance and expertise for HS2 enquires and associated Rail infrastructure sector temporary works. Our Rail sector Technical Sales Team and Design Engineers are available to meet with customers to discuss solutions and achieve the best results for them.

We have been involved heavily to date with the HS2 Enabling Works, which continue, and are already engaged with most of the Civils JV’s for the Euston/ Curzon Street section of the works and are always keen to receive enquiries from the JV’s themselves, or their subcontractors. We are available via early engagement to offer our experience via optioneering etc.

Always keen to develop the best solutions in line with our customers’ specific requirements, MGF can offer a BIM service and also design to Eurocodes, if required. Our design services are centralised in Manchester and supported by expert Regional Engineers who are ready to work with engineers/ Temporary Works Coordinator’s and provide localised support.

The MGF Research and Development team, including experienced in-house 3D animators, meet regularly with management to ensure we are continually pushing the boundaries and meeting our customers’ needs. Patent registered and exclusive to MGF, the award-winning GRP GRiPSHORE range of lightweight shoring has revolutionised operations for shallow excavations, particularly in utility and rail contracts. We are also continually developing the heavier end of our propping ranges, and we involve our Major Projects team with basements/ large scale portal propping schemes.

Our in-house manufacturing capabilities and hire service allows us to be a sustainable supplier, minimising emissions and material when manufacturing products. We believe that re-used hydraulic proprietary frames are the best solution to shoring, and provide a long term sustainable solution to excavation support. Our national transport fleet has achieved FORS Silver encompassing all aspects of transport encouraging our in-house operators to monitor and improve our fleets safety, efficiency and environmental impact.

We are also the largest stock-holders in the UK of U – Piles, with stocks of the majority of sizes and lengths available for hire/ sale, backed up by design, if required.
