Hire Desk Administrator

South West - Exeter Depot, Unit 58, EX5 1EW

MGF are currently seeking to recruit a Hire Desk Administrator to join the Hire Desk team at our Exeter Depot.

As a Hire Desk Administrator, your main responsibility will be to provide an efficient and effective general administrative service to the Hire Desk.


Salary: £22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year


  • Receiving incoming hire enquiries via telephone and email
  • Liaising with customers and our Technical Sales Team
  • Producing hire quotations on our CRM system
  • Preparing contracts, from quote through to on-hire stage
  • Receiving and processing incoming off-hire requests
  • Scheduling transport for both deliveries and collections
  • Processing of off-hire paperwork through to damage negotiations where applicable
  • Daily preparation of driver’s paperwork
  • Liaise with other depots to source kit when necessary

Core Requirements

  • Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent
  • A professional manner with good communication and people skills,
  • PC literate with experience of Microsoft Systems,
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines,
  • Local area knowledge for the depot areas served,
  • Motivated self-starter with good administration, time management and organisation skills.
