HR Administration Apprentice

MGF are currently seeking to recruit an HR Administration Apprentice to join our Human Resources Team at our Head Office in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

As HR Administration Apprentice, your main responsibility will be to provide an efficient and effective general administration service to the HR team. Primarily you will be responsible for answering and dealing with phone calls, producing routine documents, inputting data into HR systems, maintaining filing systems and assisting to organise meetings, interviews and training events.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the HR / L&D Manager, the main responsibilities of this position are:

  • Administration surrounding starters and leavers
  • Updating employee records and files, ensuring documents are stored effectively
  • Responding to emails and requests for information
  • Assisting with processing training records
  • Assisting with processing holidays and absence records
  • Providing administrative HR support, such as preparing documents, letters, taking notes, maintaining HR records, helping prepare monthly reports, filing, scanning and research.

Core Requirements

The core skill requirements of this role are:

  • Strong Administration and organisation skills
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (including Maths and English)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Strong IT Skills with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Willingness to learn and take up new challenges
