Phil Ash has had over 30 years of experience as a Technical Sales representative in the temporary works industry. The majority of this time was spent at MGF, covering the areas surrounding our Yorkshire depot.
Phil started working at MGF in the summer of 1999 with prior experience in technical sales. He began work at MGF as the Castleford depot manager but quickly realised that operations wasn’t the best area in the business for him, feeling that his skillset was more applicable to technical sales. He quickly moved into that role, where he has remained until today.

“I’m proud of the growth we have achieved at the Yorkshire depot over the last 24 years, they are a great group of people to work with. In fact, there are a lot of good people at MGF and I have enjoyed working with them all.“
Phil has been involved with countless excavations over the years he’s spent with MGF, these include the Hessle Foreshore Flood Defence Scheme and Leeds FAS2.
“I am looking forward to having the time to do what I want to do, every day will be like a Sunday. I want to do a bit more travelling, maybe visiting my brother in Australia. I’m going to spend more time pursuing my hobbies like golf, photography and walking. I’m looking forward to watching my grandkids playing football, as well as getting my bike out of the shed, giving it a clean and riding into York!“
MGF wish Phil the best in his retirement and thank him for his huge commitment to MGF and our Yorkshire depot over the last 24 years. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to work alongside him.
