This week is National Apprenticeship Week, the annual celebration of the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy.
To ‘make great futures’ happen, we need a talented team of people who are aligned through our shared values and our shared aspiration to build long term relationships with our customers and engage them fully in order to meet and exceed their expectations.
To celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals we asked a few of our apprentices what their job means to them.
“My introduction to HR was during my Business Studies A Level. Since joining MGF in March 2018, I have gained valuable experience and learned a lot, all while working towards gaining my CIPD Level 3 qualification.” – Joe Jenkins, HR Admin Apprentice.
“I always knew I wanted to be a welder but attending an open day with my college at MGF solidified this and I applied as an apprentice. I’m excited to stay here for a career after my apprenticeship.” – Kevin Crane, Welding Apprentice.
“After realising that University wasn’t the path for me, I looked at apprenticeships to ‘earn as I learn’ and found that my skills and interests lay with HR. The opportunity from MGF came round and I’m so glad I took it, it’s challenging but I’m well supported.” – Charlotte Crawford, HR Admin Apprentice.
Over the years, MGF has taken on a number of apprentices in various roles across departments and many have since progressed their careers within the company. Apprenticeships play a key role in the learning and development of our staff and pose as an opportunity to develop both personally and professionally.
“I started my apprenticeship in Business Administration in the Purchasing Department which taught me a lot about how the company operated. I then moved into the Transport Department as an administrator and have progressed up to Coordinator with CPC qualifications supported by MGF” – Chloe McClellan, Transport Coordinator.
We recognise and reward excellence, you’ll find opportunities in a range of roles across the UK to help us achieve our primary goals. If you’re interested in applying for an apprenticeship with MGF, see our vacancies here: https://mgf.co.uk/careers/job-opportunities/
