The MGF team was delighted to collect a GE Award as winners in the health and safety category at the 2014 award ceremony hosted on 14 May at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

The GE Awards brought together over 500 leaders in consultancy and contracting in the geotechnical engineering industry for a glittering afternoon of celebration, recognition and networking.

After review by a panel of 15 expert judges, MGF were announced winners in recognition of our Safe Systems of Work Guidance Tools. MGF Engineering Director, Steve Hesketh commented “We are delighted to receive such a prestigious and competitive award that recognizes the contribution to occupational safety that our Safe Systems of Work Guidance Tools, particularly our animated 3D video guides, have provided to the ground engineering industry. For the first time installation guidance has been made simple to understand and readily accessible to Site Teams encouraging safer working environments, which is MGF sole focus”

Claire Smith, event host and editor of GE magazine commented “This is the seventh running of these awards and I think this is the toughest yet in terms of competition to be a winner. The quantity and quality of entries this year has been outstanding and the judges have had a difficult job deciding on the winners and there were some entries that didn’t make even the shortlist this year that would have been contenders for the top position in other years. The standard of entries we have seen this year is also testament to the recovery the industry has seen in the last 12 to 18 months. We are starting to see the market change from being one that is very London-centric to one with more widespread growth with the regions now seeing increasing demand.”
