Since launching in July 2021, our Lifting division has grown to allow for the continuous improvement to our service quality and offerings.
With a wide range of lifting products featuring slings, loose lifting equipment, hoisting, blocks, winches and crane site equipment, MGF can provide a well rounded service to our customers.
To facilitate our testing and inspection service offering, our team of fully qualified engineers will visit site or your depot at your convenience. As part of this service, our lifting and safety engineers ensure to keep up to date with all the latest industry training.
Recently, the engineers took part in supplier Tractel’s 2-day long advanced product training course. The overall course was a mixture of theory and practical sessions covering a range of products and their application as well as purpose.
Session one centred around the Minifor TR50 (see our Hoisting, Blocks and Winches range), the aim of this course was to provide the trainees with the required knowledge to competently carry out the inspection and maintenance of the equipment. At the end of the session, our engineers were able to perform the Annual Safety Inspection and Maintenance, judge the safe condition of hoisting equipment and both identify and order the correct spare parts.
The second and final session of the day featured the Tirfor TU Series (also found in our Hoisting, Blocks and Winches range). In this session, our engineers were taught how to competently carry out the inspection and maintenance of the equipment. Topics covered included how to inspect and maintain a tirfor, being able to inspect the parts inside the covers, perform the safety test after maintenance and how to understand the generally accepted rules of technology.
