In Spring 2023, each of our depots were appointed a Sustainability Champion to support the Environment and Sustainability Advisor with any initiatives.
To thank our Sustainability Champions for taking on the role, each person was gifted a tree to nurture until it is ready to be planted outside in the depot garden. Each tree was given a name and over the past few months they have become a part of the depot.
What are Sustainability Champions?
As part of our continuing sustainability efforts, we have appointed a member of staff at each depot to implement changes to improve sustainability. So far this has included, creating a garden, analysing the energy usage at the depot and contributing to sustainability meetings.
With support from the Environment and Sustainability Advisor, we hope that the champions will continue to bring ideas forward to how we can improve our depots to become more sustainable.
