Meet Joe Jones, Lifting & Safety Technical Sales for the South West

Joe has joined MGF to expand our Lifting & Safety division in the South West. Joe was asked how the job has been going since starting at MGF.

What made you want to work in the construction industry?

I wanted to work in the construction industry for a number of reasons, but the main one for me would be the different diversity of areas in the industry.

What do you enjoy about your role?

I enjoy being able to go out attending the different sites and meeting new and old customers. I enjoy learning everyday, developing my knowledge of the industry, which allows me to progress professionally.

Describe your background and how you got into the industry

Previously, I have worked in the aerospace industry before moving to the construction industry. I find myself being challenged by the work at MGF, which keeps me motivated to develop myself further, but my already acquired knowledge allows me to help find the best solution for customers.

What do you find to be the most interesting projects to work on?

I find a lot of aspects of the job interesting, from working on larger scale jobs to see the lifting and safety equipment range expand and develop.

Why do you think having strong relationships with our customers is so important?

I believe having a strong working relationship with my customers is key to delivering a successful solution. Being able to understand their requirements, needs and then making sure I follow through with that to the best of my ability.
