Sam Birchall, Technical Sales.

I moved from working in our Fleet department into technical sale in late 2022, since then no two days have been the same, from site visits to customer meetings, there is always something to do.

Within my role as a supporting Technical Sales in the North West Region, I frequently get out to sites anywhere between The Lake District and North Wales to ultimately make connections with customers to build a strong working relationship with them. This reassures my customers that I am there to support their needs and requirements of their projects.

Also, I have some of my own individual accounts which I have brought on as new customers to MGF which I assist and manage personally.

The most enjoyable part of my role is getting out and meeting new people when on site. I have already met loads of new people and now know them both on a business and personal level which is always great.

I got into the industry via my dad, Antony Birchall, who has worked as a sales representative for MGF for 23 years and has over 30 years experience in the industry. He has always enjoyed the industry and the people within it and it seemed the perfect fit for me to follow in the same footsteps.

Having a strong working relationship with customers is great as it makes you enjoy what you are doing and promotes good communication which is vital on some of the projects we are involved in which can get quite complicated at stages.
