MGF’s Livingston depot has been providing excavation and structural support across Scotland since opening its doors in January 2020.
Ideally located in the central belt, the Scotland depot is able to support the growing needs of the Northern UK construction industry by offering a national service with the support of MGF’s 13 other locations and over 40 years experience.
Qualifying with a BSc (Hons), Lead Engineer, Billy McCormick has spent over 20 years in the Temporary Works industry. Billy is known for his good customer service, relationship building and presenting safe efficient designs in a timely manner.
Billy now heads up a team of growing engineering graduates and CAD Technicians.
“In six months at MGF I’ve enjoyed building up our team, there’s myself, three graduate engineers and a Cad/Revit technician. I’ve been happy to provide MGF’s services and equipment to clients from the past and I’m enjoying forging long lasting relationships with new ones. There are exciting times ahead for Livingston.”
Graduate Engineer, Alex Scott graduated from Heriot-Watt in December 2021 with an MSc in Civil Engineering with Construction Management after previously studying at Edinburgh University. After taking a position at MGF, Alex has been working as a Graduate Design Engineer as part of Billy McCormick’s engineering team. Spending his time on both excavation support and structural propping systems.

Having Graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a first class BEng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering, Graduate Engineer, Nicholas Ritchie joined MGF in June 2022.
Before joining the company, Nicholas completed a 10 week summer placement with Bouygues UK in 2020 and gained valuable experience, This experience is being put to good use in Billy’s engineering team, where Nicholas works on engineering excavation support systems.
