MGF’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Team (SHEQ) are delighted to report that the business has just surpassed the milestone of 2 million hours worked since their last recorded reportable accident.
To celebrate, the SHEQ team at Head Office enjoyed some themed cakes.

In early 2019, MGF launched its “Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe” and “Thumbs up to Stay Safe” initiatives throughout our nationwide network of depots. These were implemented to enhance the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and to empower everyone to be more safety conscious.
The Think Safe initiative was implemented to drive business improvements and to ensure both our employees and customers who use our equipment go home safe and healthy every day. The Thumbs Up to Stay Safe campaign is aimed at preventing accidents involving Forklift Trucks and HGV’s by ensuring drivers and pedestrians are fully aware of vehicle movements via simple, visual communication.
“After surpassing 1 million hours worked RIDDOR free in December 2021, we then challenged our workforce to maintain the exemplary standards they had set. Therefore, 15 months later, it is with great pride that we can announce that we have surpassed the 2 million hours worked RIDDOR free milestone.
“We will continue to instil the belief that all accidents are avoidable and to adhere to and support the company’s Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe philosophy.”
