MGF will be exhibiting at the Rail Alliance’s RAIL2015 event this Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th September in Stratford-upon-Avon.
We will be showcasing our latest product innovation, the MGF GRiPSHORE™ lightweight shoring range. GRiPSHORE™ has been developed in-house at MGF by our Research and Development team and since the range was launched earlier this year it has received recognition from within the Rail sector for its innovative qualities.
MGF have developed the bespoke systems, in conjunction with Network Rail and customers, as a solution to a current challenge faced within the rail sector; to provide an efficient shoring procedure that will support the walls of an excavation and protect operatives who have entered a trench during the installation of an under-track crossing. In July 2014 a trench collapse during a routine under-track crossing installation highlighted the safety issue and resulted in a railway worker being seriously injured.

In addition to providing secure shoring in shallow and restricted excavations, GRiPSHORE™ products are lightweight enough to be man handled, installed and extracted without the need for an excavator and their electrically non-conductive properties mean they are safe to use adjacent, or in close proximity, to live rail tracks.

MGF recently became members of the Rail Alliance and through collaboration with customers, including some from the rail sector, we have developed GRiPSHORE™ and are confident that these products will benefit the rail industry and help our customers to create safe working environments for their employees”.

RAIL2015 is an outdoor rail event that showcases the best range of products and services that meet the demanding needs of the rail sector with a key emphasis on best practice, ingenuity and innovation.
