Marketing Manager Stephen Baldwin and Marketing Team Leader Gemma Sheerin recently visited Winstanley Community Primary, a local school based in Wigan to represent MGF as part of a weeklong careers event.
This involved delivering a presentation with an overview of MGF’s Marketing team, what their job roles involve on a day-to-day basis and how important Marketing is for businesses like MGF who supply to the UK construction industry. The students were shown a short video outlining our involvement across different sectors.
Initially invited to only present to Y6 students the visit generated so much interested that they were also asked to also deliver it to Y5, Y2 and Y1 pupils across two sessions.

Pupils were later able to view a selection of our 3D printed kit models and ask any questions they had relating to career opportunities in Marketing, at MGF and within the wider construction industry as well as developing an understanding of the importance of safety in dangerous working environments.
MGF were delighted to be asked to support the school in educating students early on about careers in the industry and potential opportunities for the future. No matter their age this information could impact important future decisions the students make about further education, training and career opportunities.
