In May 2022, the Benidorm Bangers Charity Rally took place!
After a long stint as a company car for MGF Technical Sales, Phil Ash, the above pictured Peugeot was bought from the company in 2006 by Capital Sales Representative, Andy Hember. Andy sold the car to the event to compete in the rally where the vehicle was transformed into a tribute to the viral children’s music video “Baby Shark.”
The rally ran from Thurrock Services on the M25 to Benidorm across 6 days, stopping at locations such as Rouen, Andorra and Valencia to sleep, refuel and take advantage of photo opportunities at landmarks like the Millau Bridge.
The final day included Benidorm Bangers Go Karting followed by a closing party where prizes were given for best decorated car and for the best costumes, after which the daily challenge points were also counted.
The ex-MGF vehicle was finally retired and scrapped for €150, which was added to the total of over £500 raised for charity.
