For the second year running MGF are delighted to be amongst the winners in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015, collecting another Gold Award.
The Gold award in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) will be presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, on 14th July 2015.
As the UK’s family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission to save lives and reduce injuries covers all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 58 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s Awards Manager, said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as MGF, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”
Ian Jones, MGF’s Operations Director said: “MGF operate a robust health, safety, quality and environmental management system which we are proud of. We continually innovate with the objective to lead the shoring industry in best practice for occupational health and safety. The accreditation of another Gold Achievement Award in 2015 is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication from all our staff across the business, who put health and safety at the centre of everything that we do on a daily basis”
This was MGF’s second year of entering the RoSPA Achievement Awards and as such our application needed to demonstrate our continual innovation and dedication to the improvement of occupational health and safety.
