KEY BENEFIT
The flexibility of our UniShore® Light Duty, allowed the contractor to easily create a precise arch-shaped former using lightweight modular components and aluminium beams
SOLUTION
We provided our UniShore Light Duty system, configured to replicate the shape of the new arch. This innovative solution allowed the contractor to reuse materials from the original bridge, reducing waste and maintaining the character of the structure while meeting modern standards.
Our UniShore Light Duty system’s modular design provided the flexibility needed to create the small radius for the arch profile. By incorporating aluminium beams, CR Reynolds was able to fix plywood sheets to form a precise arch template. The assembly was done flat on the ground using the template and then lifted into position.
THE VERDICT
Despite the complexity of forming a new arch from modular components, the flexibility of our UniShore Light Duty system made a challenging job more straightforward.
The system’s versatility and ease of handling ensured the project was completed efficiently, delivering a bridge suited for modern standards while preserving it’s original features.
