Our MiDesign® – Standard Solutions service offers pre-engineered design solutions for low risk designs covering trench boxes, sheets and walers, manhole brace systems and our lightweight GRiPSHORE® range to specified depths.
Our digitally automated Standard Solutions give you a safe, practical temporary works (TW) design in a fraction of the time needed for a bespoke solution.
Every solution is developed and checked in line with BS5975:2024 and incorporates best‑practice health and safety – so while we work quickly, you can have complete confidence in the quality.
Two Flexible Routes to Using Standard Solutions
We know every project is different, so we offer two ways to access our Standard Solutions:
Route 1 – MGF Assessed Standard Solutions
Our engineers assess whether a Standard Solution can be applied to your specific site or project.
How it works:
Simply send us your TW design brief and call your nearest MGF depot. A member of our technical sales team will guide you through the process and connect you with an MGF engineer.

- Confidence that MGF’s in‑house TW engineers have reviewed the solution for your specific project.
Route 2 – Manage Solutions Internally
If you’re a contractor with established TW procedures (aligned to BS5975:2024), your appointed Designated Individual (DI) can manage a suite of solutions internally.
How it works:
- MGF engineers confirm your procedures align with our safe management requirements.
- We deliver a short training session for as many of your DIs as you need.
- You select from over 200 solutions across our product range.
- We issue a downloadable PDF package with a full document index.
- After 9 months, we check in to ensure everything is running smoothly and update as needed.
