Apprenticeships: Skills For Life

Opening National Apprenticeship Week 2026: Skills For Life

MGF is proud to join organisations across the country in marking National Apprenticeship Week 2026 (NAW2026), taking place from the 9th – 15th February. This year marks the 19th annual celebration of the positive impact apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.

National Apprenticeship Week brings together employers, apprentices, training providers, schools, colleges, and universities to shine a spotlight on the power of apprenticeships. It highlights how people can gain skills for life, while businesses build a skilled, future proof workforce.

At MGF, apprentices have played and will continue to play a vital role in our success. Through apprenticeships we have:

  • Opened doors to exciting and rewarding careers for learners of all ages
  • Built a workforce with practical knowledge and real-world experience
  • Supported economic growth by helping to address the national skills shortage

Today at MGF:

  • 18 apprentices are currently completing their courses
  • 23 employees have completed their apprenticeships
  • 6 former or current apprentices have progressed into managerial roles

Throughout the week, we’ll be joining the conversation by sharing insights, stories, and experiences from our past and present apprentices to celebrate the impact they make across MGF. We’ll be sharing content that highlights apprentice achievements, showcases hands-on learning, and demonstrates how apprenticeships continue to shape our business and drive our success.
