On Thursday 12th February, we were delighted to attend the University of Salford Apprentice Awards as a nominee for Apprentice Employer of the Year, a reflection of our dedication to supporting and investing in apprentices across the business. Our Design Team Leader, Christopher Atherton, and Design Manager, Sam Cherrington, were at the awards evening to represent MGF.
The annual awards evening, hosted by the University of Salford at the Etihad Stadium, recognises and celebrates all the hard work and achievements of apprentices and their providers across the region.
MGF were delighted to receive the ‘Apprentice Employer Of The Year Award’ for the second year in a row, and to be acknowledged as a leading business for our commitment to developing our employees and investment in future talent.

Highlights From The Night
The atmosphere throughout the evening was warm and celebratory, with apprentices and employers coming together to recognise each other’s achievements. The night showcased the effect that structured training and mentorship can have on individuals and businesses.
Throughout the evening, our team had the opportunity to network and connect with likeminded apprentices and employers across various industries, sharing stories and best practices about supporting our young professionals. These conversations enforced the strong sense of community that exists around apprenticeships especially around the northwest.
