We are thrilled to announce that MGF have been awarded the RoSPA Gold Award for the 8th consecutive year!
This achievement highlights the commitment and hard work offered by everyone in the business at all levels to ensure that our day-to-day operations run as safely as possible. This further demonstrates that MGF are dedicated to maintaining and continually improving our high standards not only internally but externally for our customers and interested parties.
At MGF our entire business philosophy is centred around creating safe working environments and ensuring that everyone gets home safe at the end of the day. As part of the effort towards achieving this philosophy, our SHEQ team works closely with departments around MGF as well as our 14 depots to ensure standards are maintained. Alongside this, the team also works with other departments to develop and implement campaigns aimed at improving our operational safety and protecting those onsite.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is a multi-industry platform for organisations to benchmark safety performance and to demonstrate their ongoing commitment in improving health and safety standards. Part of their mission includes ‘exchanging life-enhancing skills and knowledge to reduce serious accidental injuries’, something they have been working towards since 1916. As the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK, RoSPA receives entries from around the world.
As construction is recognised as one of the most dangerous industries to work in within the UK, it is crucial that safety practices are reviewed and improved on a consistent basis.
MGF’s Health and Safety Manager, Eddie Prendergast states:
